Hello all! Sorry about the lack of posts, this month has been a little cray. Just wanted to give everyone a heads up about our curation change out. We'll be closed all day Sunday the 1st & Monday the 2nd while we prep the shop for Aprils collection. So make sure you stop by between now & Saturday if you've had your eye on anything in particular,'cuz come Sunday it will all be gone!

Thanks to Thursday's Full Moon in Virgo, folks may have tapped in to a more detail-driven lifestyle, and you may find yourself more skeptical and analytical in your everyday dealings with other people. All the Virgos in my life cradle this fine line between being obsessively put together and organized and completely careless- certain details may fall through the cracks, yet they also maintain a total loyalty to certain patterns. I happen to be of the opinion that (healthy, harmless) obsession is the #1 basis of all creativity and drive (think about it!!!) so I have no problem allowing for my obsessions to fuel me and take me in whatever direction I'm tryna go in. 

Friday the 9th will be ruled by the Libra Moon, casting a sense of diplomacy and grace that guarantees that your dealings with the outside world will be pleasant, gentle and light hearted. This is a good aspect to be paired with the other events occurring today, as Moon square Pluto is great at highlighting intense transformations, emotional entanglements, manipulation and (theme of the week!) obsession. Use this time to filter out the things you don't have use for anymore while maintaining a sense of self trust and stability and you'll soar right through this aspect.

Saturday will be a great time to emphasize and growth in harmonious relationships with a mix of compromise and friendliness. Later on in the day the Moon will be switching to Scorpio, the sign of love, sex, and death (COOL) after a brief period of an out-of-course Moon, which is great at emphasizing uncertainty and unclear communication. Once the Scorp Moon is in full effect, you will probably feel more smoothed out and better suited to face the day.

Get ready for some spring forward, fall back action, as it's happening in a big way on Sunday the 11th. Turn that shit ahead one hour at 2:00 am (unless you're in Hawaii or Arizona, duh) and get ready for Spring. Sunday will be ruled by a handful of planetary events- as Moon in Scorpio continues to shed light on transformations and is great at encouraging growth and transparency re: internal conflicts and emotions, as well as Moon opposite Venus, Moon sextile Pluto AND Moon sextile Mars. Today is a great day to manifest power, strength, growth and physical activity. Overall, I can't think of a better way to embrace the humble beginnings of an amazing Springtime.

a day as golden as the sun shining through my white wine

A few Mondays ago Sophia, Ari & I sought out the sunniest place in the Puget Sound and ended up taking a little impromptu trip ferry ride over to Orcas Island. We flew a kite, collected stones, saw a sea plane take off and thoroughly explored the entire island. We ended up staying the night in a little beachside bungalow, where we finished off our perfect day with the requisite black box of white wine & watched Jurassic Park. Ari's reaction to the movie, which was : "I love the dinosaurs, I want to touch them", is now my favorite thing to say. So, yeah...that was pretty much the best day I've had in a really long time. Just wanted to share:)

THIS WEEKEND IN THE COSMOS

March 2nd-4th

So a few days ago I was in New York and found myself in the apartment of a local legend gender illusionist performer/diva babe/drug dealer (??) and promptly noticed how much Sun symbolism he had adored on his wall. I played with his cats for a while and we talked about the flowers growing on the planter outside his window and probably other stuff, but I mostly remember chatting about how I always rep the Moon without really paying any attention to the Sun. Like, overall I am infinitely more drawn to the Queen of the Night with her slinky powers over the water and shit, which in a lot of ways is relevant to my more "Introspective" personality. Astrologically speaking, the Sun rules your outward self and the most divine understanding of who you are and how others perceive you, aka it rules taking ownership and basically trusting/liking yourself and wanting to share that with the people around you, which rules, I think! So now my new thing is going to be trying to embrace that more and incorporate that more into my schpeal. Cool, right????

A big nod to all the Cancers out there for your impeccable ability to be both socially flawless and able to take care of your emotional needs as you see fit. Friday afternoon you may find yourself searching for that delicate line between sensitive and hyper social, as the Moon switches from Gemini to Cancer. Both staying in and going out are totally fine options. Mercury, messenger bro and bringer of news, is also entering Aries today, so you may find that the ways in which you communicate come out more like commands than requests. This aspect will be hanging out until late March, which leaves you ample time to explore and consider the ways in which you communicate and get what you want. 

Saturday the third is ruled by spiciness and some potential for rando outbursts with help of the Sun opposite Mars. This aspect may lead to folks feeling a bit more defensive and irritation-prone than ususal, with an extra strong focus on those born Feb 28-March 5. Howevs by Sunday the Moon's shift into Leo is bound to leave you feeling a bit ounge-y and drawn to hanging with the closest friendo's you've got.
